To the editor:
West coast Floridians are needed for a large rally in Stuart, Florida.
Join us for the second annual Save Our River Clean Water Rally at Phipps Park this Sunday, Aug. 3, at 10 a.m.
Never before has something of this magnitude occurred when it comes to community awareness and action to protect from harm. Many high ranking politicians from all over our state will speak and lead the march in unity.
This is one well-organized event for cause. You don't wanna miss it. Activists and ecological organizers coming together with political figures for common good of our water quality will be on full display. This is a family event, a community-driven event, and an event that matters to us all who live coastal and along the river banks and back bays. We are obligated to stand up for our waterways. Now is our unified time to do so.
If we do nothing then we to are a part of the problem. When we can do something, we will be the solutions needed for our local waters troubles. Without it, we are one person less the power of the people for what's right versus wrong.
The two coasts share the same plight from the discharges every year. Polluted water is killing our eco-system, destroying out wildlife, halting tourism by the looks of a "dead sea," and so many more effects that the discharges bring to us in a negative light geographically.
We need your community involvement to have our leaders hear us loud and clear to save our seas. You are all invited to attend this epic day filled with eduction, celebration and awareness. Many of us are camping out at the park on Saturday. We will all meet at the Wal-Mart lot on Colonial Boulevard at 330 p.m. sharp to caravan together and camp out on site. The day of the event is expected to draw thousands. So we want the west to be in place before the massive amounts of caring citizens for clean water swarm in on Sunday We highly encourage you all to meet us on Saturday and camp at Phipps Park Campground in Stuart. Right on the locks! There will be many high ranking politicians from all over our state. All political folks will also lead the march in unity, as well as having their own chance to speak and be heard during the Rock the Vote concert that follows the rally.
Make the weekend out of it by standing up for FMB by taking the road trip with us to the east coast for clean water rights. If anyone needs a ride, we can help. If anyone can offer rides, please do so. If anyone needs any additional information of how to get involved on this particular event, please call me (407-460-6452) or email me (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The River Kidz will be there, the Conservancy of SWFL will be there. Many more will be there to promote the idea that education and awareness leads to regular people doing their part to help save our waterways from the Lake O discharges. Be the change! And being your kids so they can see you being the change for them.
Together we can make the difference!
