American Legion Post 274 installs officers

The American Legion Post 274 family held its installation of officers at the Post home on Buttonwood Drive on Sunday, Aug. 11.

The District 13 officers of the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion and Legion Riders were on hand to conduct the ceremony. Also in attendance were many Department of Florida officers, including 2013-14 Department Commander Art Schwabe.

Commander Schwabe thanked the Post for their efforts in helping veterans and the community. He talked about the difference this Post makes in helping veterans and how the Post members, along with the Auxiliary and the Sons of the American Legion as well as the Legion Riders, exemplify his motto "Making a Difference for Veterans Every Day" through their time, talents and unwavering support.
