Beach Civic group seeks input at meeting

March 20, 2013
by Doris Grant , Fort Myers Beach Bulletin, Fort Myers Beach Observer

To all the residents, business owners and interested parties of Fort Myers Beach:

The Fort Myers Beach Civic Association will hold its annual meeting Wednesday, March 27, at 5:30 p.m. The organization will meet in the Community Room of the Fort Myers Beach Library.

We invite everyone to join us at our annual meeting. This association is organized of, by and for the residents of the Fort Myers Beach community in order to:

- (1) Provide a collective voice in the recapture, retention and protection of the community's quality of life and its environmental resources for the enjoyment of the present and future generations of the community

- (2) Survey, inform and defend the interests of the residents and propose reasonable and responsible solutions to problems associated with growth, development, redevelopment, infrastructure, land use, taxation, governance and expanding commercialism within the Fort Myers Beach community.

We are neighbors to neighbors and a community united. Our small island must pull together as a community and nation as never before. We want and hope for you to share your thoughts and input for a positive 2013. We are looking forward to seeing each of you on March 27. Bring some new ideas to share with the community so our outlook will be greater and more positive than ever.

Doris Grant is the director of the Fort Myers Beach Civic Association. She can be reached by email at for any questions or thoughts if you cannot attend meeting.
