More yard sales, bake sales, flea markets and breakfasts throughout the island and beyond

With season in full gear, several local churches, communities and foundations have been hosting yard sales, bake sales and breakfasts, raising funds for their many causes. Listed below is a continuation of upcoming events that are worth marking on your calendars whether they're yard sales, bake sales, flea markets or pancake breakfasts!

These events have been listed in order of the dates they're taking place, to ensure none of them are passed up. Happy bargain hunting!

The Thunderbird Mobile Home Park Men's Breakfast Club will be hosting an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast with sausage, juice and coffee Saturday, Feb. 16, from 7 to 10 a.m. For only $3.50 per person, enjoy all the pancakes and coffee you can put away.

Biscuits and gravy and French toast and sausage will also be available for the same price. Breakfast will be held in the Thunderbird Recreation Hall, 200 Derwent Blvd., off San Carlos Boulevard. Turn at Marko's Diner directly into the park.

Estero Cove bake and rummage sale

The Estero Cove community will hold a rummage sale and bake sale Saturday, Feb. 16, from 9 a.m to noon. During the sale, be sure to stop by to find some great buys, with a array of bargains in glassware, clothing, linens, household goods, furniture and much more not to mention the many tasty, homemade concoctions that will be available.

Estero Cove is located across from the Holiday Inn of Fort Myers Beach on the south end of the Island.

Palmetto Palms' Craft and White Elephant sale

Palmetto Palms RV Resort will hold a Craft and White Elephant sale Saturday, Feb. 16, from 8 a.m. to noon, at the 19681 Summerlin Road, Fort Myers, location. Coffee and Donuts will be available.

The public is invited to attend this sale and peruse the thousands of great items available, including household items, electronics, knick knacks, accessories, jewelry, collectibles, kitchen items and other bargain-shopper trinkets. For more information, contact Marge Gregg, 466-5331.

Tanger Outlets' President's Day Sidewalk Sale

Tanger Outlet Center, 20350 Summerlin Road, Fort Myers, is your destination for shopping and savings President's Day Weekend. Tanger's annual President's Day Sidewalk Sale is taking place Friday to Monday, Feb. 15 to 18. This center-wide savings event will feature great deals on brand name fashions from Under Armour, Loft, Polo Ralph Lauren, Guess, Tommy Hilfiger, Gap, Coach, Rack Room Shoes, Factory Brand Shoes, Nike, Reebok and many more. Shop and save on merchandise that is on trend, in season, and value priced direct from the manufacturer.

Hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The shopping center is off of Daniels Parkway, on Summerlin Road, just two miles before the Sanibel Island Causeway.

Estero Community Park Yard Sale

and annual Woodcarving Exhibit

The Estero Community Park Yard Sale will be hosted Saturday, March 2, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Estero Community Park, 9200 Corkscrew Palms Boulevard, Estero. It's time to dig into your closets, garages and storage bins for those unwanted items. Make some extra money selling old clothing, electronics, house wares, furniture, or anything else you no longer want. If you don't have anything to sell come out and shop for some great bargains.

A limited number of spots are available to purchase for $5 per parking space if you are planning on selling any items at the yard sale. Spots are currently available for purchase, but space is limited, so be sure to reserve as early as possible. Reserve spots by registering online at LeeParks.org or calling the Estero Recreation Center, 498-0415. There is no charge to come out and shop the day of the sale.

The Bonita/Estero Woodcarving Club will also be hosting its annual Woodcarving Exhibit inside the Estero Recreation Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. that day. Admission is free and all ages are welcome. Come browse the exhibit, buy pieces and meet the artists.

Bayside Estates' Pancake Breakfast

The Bayside Men's Club will host its next monthly Pancake Breakfast Sunday, March 10, from 8 to 11 a.m., in the Bayside Recreation Hall. Enjoy scrambled eggs, sausages, coffee and orange juice, along with all-you-can-eat pancakes, for just $5.

Bayside Estates is just off of San Carlos Boulevard, just south of Pine Ridge Road. Signs are at both entrances. For more information, call Ken Wescoat at 609-226-9955.

City of Cape Coral Mini Bus' largest yard sale yet

The City of Cape Coral Mini Bus presents its "biggest yard sale ever," Saturday, March 16, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Lake Kennedy Senior Center, 400 Santa Barbara Blvd., Cape Coral.

Christmas is gone, the New Year has passed, and spring is approaching. Tired of looking at your crowded garage or storage closets full of things you don't use? Why not make some extra money by turning your unused items into cash?

New or used items, indoor tables and outdoor spaces available on a first come, first serve basis. The event is free for the public to shop and peruse.

The cost to rent an indoor table is $20, an outside table is $10. After March 14, RSVP-ing an indoor table will be $30, an outside table $20. For more information, contact the Lake Kennedy Senior Center, 574-0575.

Find a Home Give a Home Yard and Bake Sale

The Fort Myers Beach Find a Home Give a Home pet rescue organization will be hosting its annual garage sale Saturday and Sunday, March 23 and 24, in the Laguna Shores subdivision, on the south end of Fort Myers Beach, so it's time to drop off your unwanted treasures! If you have old treasures in your house (any items gently used) that you no longer need or use, please consider donating them to us for our garage sale coming up in March.

"This is an event you don't want to miss we've had some fantastic items at fantastic prices over the years," said Isabelle Wells, organizer of the event. "Please call and we can tell you where to drop off your items. We never know what we get, and this year we are expecting another great turn-out!"

The addresses will be 7875, 7879 and 7901 Buccaneer Drive. All homes will have tremendous items collected from the general public over the past few months. Items include collectibles, furnitures, bikes, household items, clothes and much more. We will also have a bake sale, lemonade stand," Isabelle said. "All contributions will go the Rescue."
