To the editor:
By now, I hope you have taken a look at the newly designed consumer website the Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau recently launched. The website aims to enhance the visual content to showcase The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel brand and assets while making it easier and quicker for visitors to find information and take action with convenient links. Now, we are counting on our tourism industry partners to enhance your portions of the site with fresh content from your properties, attractions, shopping centers and restaurants.
With industry partners updating their own content, we ensure the most dynamic information possible to effectively market the destination. We encourage you to actively and frequently update your listings on the site with new content, images, links and deals to maximize exposure for your businesses and aid visitors in research and booking. To access your listing and make changes, log on to the Partner Login Site and enter your username and password. If you have forgotten your information or need assistance, please contact Justin Friede at email@example.com or call 226-0095.
You'll notice the website is user friendly for visitors, with a simple top navigation that improves search functionality and highlights eight categories: Discover, Stay, See & Do, Eat & Drink, Meetings, Travel Trade, Weddings and Events. There's also a button that translates sections of text from English into Spanish, German and French, and the site has been rendered for mobile and tablet devices so the view is optimized no matter the device being used.
We wanted a website that can inspire and inform travelers, regardless of what phase of the trip planning cycle they may be in. Those in the early planning stages of a vacation may be curious to explore the stories behind the bold images that are the centerpiece of the site. Conversely, one who is on the fence about booking might discover a great deal or use the social media to see what other visitors enjoyed. An interactive map, found by clicking on the label "Explore Fort Myers & Sanibel," allows potential visitors a fun way to discover the many options the destination offers, from shelling to spring training, fishing, shopping and history. Social integrations have been integrated so viewers see actual visitors' conversations along with information about the destination, without having to leave the website.
The site is new and dynamic, but the web address remains the same: www.FortMyers-Sanibel.com. If you haven't already, I encourage you to take a look around, and then update the listing for your business. Fresh, relevant content is helpful for visitors and at the same time drives them to your business.
