Celebrating 18 fabulous years of introducing the public to some of the latest and greatest tech toys, gadgets, products and services around, organizers of the Big Boy Expo are proud to host its next local event Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 29 and 30, at Germain Arena, Estero.
This year, the HH-Gregg-sponsored event will boast more than 165 vendors and something from the whole family from the hottest cars, boats, RVs, trucks and accessories to the latest electronics, appliances, spas, fitness products, grills, solar equipment, lawnmowers, home improvements and more.
"Each show, we strive to grow and make it the best event for the whole family, while catering to the 'big boy' who is looking for his next exciting toy. This is definitely a great event that's fun for the whole family," said Marlene Riviello, president and promoter of the event. "We have the carnival for the kids, the Estero Firefighters will be there to let the little ones on the fire truck, giving them fire helmets and fire safety booklets. The kids really enjoy the day with their family looking at the race cars, trucks, boats and all the other cool things on display. We even have teddy bears with aquarium bellies!"

For the ladies, vendors will include plenty of clothing, jewelry, hats, fine art, travel items and more.
"The crowds gravitate through the whole show there really is something to see in every nook and cranny," Marlene said. "However, they may stay longer in areas that contain their interest the most."
The expo will have a fun carnival play area for children, complete with pony rides, face-painting and fire safety from the Estero firefighters.
Attendees can enjoy the first Championship Series Lawnmower "Grasscar" Races all weekend long, and register for a chance to win tickets to the "Ford Championship Weekend" at Homestead Miami Speedway.
"The Annual Championship Series Races, which are racing lawnmowers, are quite unique and fun to watch, with the dust and dirt flying, the sound of them racing for points and trophies. They get very competitive," Marlene said. "As the racers are a part of Grasscar, be sure to bring your lawn chairs and stay a while, and take a chance at winning giveaways from HH?Gregg, as well as a vacation getaway!"
On-site concealed weapons classes will be available both days a 2 p.m.
The Big Boy Expo supports the miliary, donating 100 free tickets to local veterans to attend. Other charities include Operation Extreme Rodeo, Mason Charities, the March of Dimes and the Araba Shriners.
Expo hours are Saturday, Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 30, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
