As students and families hit the roads for spring break, the Florida Department of Transportation reminds everyone to check the Florida 511 System for traffic updates before leaving. FDOT has recently joined Twitter with 12 new Florida 511 Twitter feeds featuring the same traffic information as the phone system. The system provides updates on crashes, congestion and construction on Florida's interstates and toll roads. Anyone can call 511, visit FL511.com, download the 511 app on iTunes or follow Florida 511 on Twitter for traffic updates.
