There will be three public information workshops regarding the Southwest Florida International Airport Noise and Land Use Study in the near future. One of the workshops will be held on Fort Myers Beach.
Residents of Estero Island are encouraged to attend the workshop in Silver Hall at Chapel by the Sea Presbyterian Church at 100 Chapel St. on Tuesday, Nov. 15, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The other two workshops are held at Riverside Baptist Church ay 8660 Daniels Pkwy. on Wednesday, Nov. 16, and at Estero Community Center Park Recreation Center at 9200 Corkscrew Palms Blvd. on Thursday, Nov. 17. Both are from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The purpose of the workshops is to present information on the Federal Aviation Regulations Part 150 Noise and Land Use Compatibility Study. Information will be provided on the feedback received during the first round of workshops that were held in August, the modeled noise conditions around the airport and the potential measures that will be evaluated during the next phase of the study.
Residents need only attend one workshop to learn about the study and offer input. Each workshop will be held in an "Open House" format.
Anyone needing special accommodations under the American with Disabilities Act of 1990, or anyone with questions, contact Kaye Molnar via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 337-1071 prior to the workshop.
