Prior to its grand opening event slated for mid-December, the all-new Nauti Turtle Restaurant and Bar, 19001 San Carlos Blvd. (where the Channel Mark once was) is hosting a career fair Friday, Nov. 12, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the American Legion Post 274, 899 Buttonwood Drive, seeking a good 40 to 50 employees to fill the necessary spots.
Positions open include restaurant management, bartenders, bar backs, wait staff, kitchen and culinary staff management, gift shop and hostesses the opportunities are almost unlimited.
Although a new venture in Lee County, longtime local resident and restaurant owner Rick Knapp's Turtle Club in Houston, Tx., is now in its 27th year, and his restaurants in The Villages in Leesburg, Fla., have been around for six years.

Rick said the Nauti Turtle's menu will offer moderately-priced foods, from appetizers to sandwiches, salads, seafood specials and signature dishes from around the country's best waterfront restaurants with casual dining.
He explains a bit about the restaurant's name.
"The word 'Nauti' comes from 'Nautical.' We simply dropped the 'cal,'" Rick said. "This will be a play on words, which the Turtle Club's (in Texas) ancient order of Turtles bases its slogan, 'Are you a Turtle?'"
The Nauti Turtle is going through major renovations, contains a full bar and plans to offers specials regularly.
Applicants to the career fair should bring a complete resume, dress appropriately and be prepared for a career interview.
