The 4C Totally Light 2Go Big Shot Volleyball Series, presented by Rider Sandals, will hold a special mid-week tournament April 13-14 in Hollywood, Fla. Top players from throughout the East Coast will compete as they warm up for the 2010 AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour season opener April 16-18 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Top male and female doubles teams will compete for over $1500 cash prizes, part of over $75,000 awarded by 4C during the 2010 season. Tournament play will start at 9 am with finals scheduled for 6 pm both days. The men will play on Tuesday April 13 and the men will play on Wednesday April 14. Admission is free for all spectators at this event which is eh perfect setting to meet the players up close and personal.
The Big Shot Volleyball Series holds 35 events leading to the September 8-9 $6,000 Big Shot Championships in Atlantic City, NJ and the $5,000 4C National Championships Oct. 16-17 at Siesta Key, FL.

Top players in the 4C Totally Light 2Go Big Shot Series include Tampa star Matt Henderson who is the defending 2010 Men's Open Grand Prix winner after accumulating more Tour Points than any other male player in the Open Division. Other top male players include Bill Orlando star Chenoweth, and Florida stars Mike DiPierro and Steve Grotowski (who has an inside line on representing Great Britain at the 2012 Olympics in London. Many of the tour players have AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour experience with Mike DiPierro posting the highest finish last season with a 9th place finish. The defending Olympic Gold Medalist Phil Dalhausser played on the Big Shot Tour before advancing to the AVP and the Olympics.
Top women's players include Clearwater AVP player Tara Kuk, New Port Richey resident Shayna Munson, Sarasota stars Megan Wallin and Chara Harris and Venice's Kristen Batt.
